Mangaluru, August 27, 2026: Dr. Dilip G Naik, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Mangalore Campus announced that “August 31, 2026, is the final date to register for the Manipal Health Card 2026 and we invite the public to make full use of this opportunity”.
Further addressing the media personnel, he said that “As one of the region’s most trusted healthcare benefit programs, the Manipal Health Card has served communities for the past 26 years by making quality medical care more affordable and accessible.This initiative reflects the vision of Manipal’s founder, Dr. T.M.A. Pai, whose mission was to bring quality healthcare within reach of every segment of society, especially rural communities.



Launched in 2000 under the guidance of Dr. Ramdas M. Pai, the current Chancellor of MAHE Manipal, the program has witnessed remarkable growth over the past 26 years. From enrolling just 3,200 families in its inaugural year, the scheme has expanded significantly. In the last financial year, approximately 2 lakh (200,000) families registered, and around 6.5 lakh (650,000) members are currently benefiting from this program across Karnataka and Kerala states”.
Dr. Unnikrishnan B – Dean, KMC Mangalore spoke on this occasion and said that “Manipal Arogya Card is a one-year membership program designed to provide affordable healthcare to individuals and families under the tagline ‘For a Complete Family, Great Value, Trusted Service’. It aims to provide comprehensive healthcare benefits to all members.The card holder can avail benefits of medical services at KMC Hospital Attavar, KMC Hospital Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Circle (Jyothi Circle), Durga Sanjeevani Manipal Hospital Kateel, Kasturba Hospital Manipal, Dr. TMA Pai Hospital Udupi, Dr. TMA Pai Rotary Hospital Karkala and 2 dental colleges Manipal College of Dental Sciences Manipal and Mangalore respectively”.
Dr. Chakrapani M – Medical Superintendent, KMC Hospital Attavar explained about the membership and said “Individual membership is available at Rs.350, family membership, which includes the individual, their spouse, and any number of unmarried children below 25 years, is priced at Rs.700. The family plus membership, which covers the individual, their spouse, any number of unmarried children below 25 years, and up to four parents, including in-laws, is available at Rs.900. This structured approach ensures that comprehensive healthcare is accessible and affordable for individuals and families alike. Benefits come into effect from the 15th of the month following enrolment and remain valid until August 15, 2027”.

As there is no upper age Limit for Enrolment, this scheme has helped lot of senior citizens for their health care needs”.
