Shetty has strongly criticised the conduct of senior Congress leaders during the rendition of Vande Mataram at the Congress party’s Independence Day celebrations, saying the episode has understandably caused anguish among citizens for whom the National Song represents the sacrifices, unity and patriotic spirit of India’s freedom movement.Referring to the widely circulated video of the programme, Shetty said the gestures and exchanges involving Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Smt. Sonia Gandhi and Congress President and Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Shri Mallikarjun Kharge have created a serious public perception that the rendition of Vande Mataram was being interrupted or sought to be curtailed.The Congress has subsequently explained that the gestures were related to arranging a chair for Shri Kharge and has maintained that the full rendition was ultimately completed. However, the explanation does not erase the legitimate concern and disappointment expressed by citizens who watched the episode, particularly because it involved some of the country’s most senior political leaders during an Independence Day programme.Vande Mataram Belongs to the Entire Nation“Vande Mataram is not the property of any political party or political ideology. It belongs to India. It inspired generations of freedom fighters and occupies an honoured place in our national consciousness.Political differences are natural in a democracy, but national symbols and traditions that unite Indians must never become casualties of political differences. Senior political leaders must demonstrate the highest degree of sensitivity and dignity whenever the National Song is being rendered.”The year 2026 is particularly significant as the nation is commemorating the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram. The Union Government has also formalised protocols for the rendition of the National Song at designated official functions.Kharge Carries a Special ResponsibilityThe episode is particularly disappointing because Shri Mallikarjun Kharge is not merely the President of the Congress party; he is also a veteran Parliamentarian and the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, a position carrying significant constitutional and democratic responsibility.“Given Shri Kharge’s stature, experience and decades of public life, the people of India naturally expect him to uphold the highest standards of dignity and respect towards national symbols.When an incident involving the senior leadership of a national political party creates even an impression of disregard towards a cherished national symbol, it inevitably raises questions and exposes the party to avoidable public criticism.”Patriotism Should Unite India, Not Divide ItThe Congress leadership should not dismiss the public sentiment generated by this episode.“Patriotism should never become a battlefield between political parties. Vande Mataram should unite us, not divide us. Its emotional and historical significance runs deep across India.National symbols transcend political parties, elections and ideologies. Every political leader, irrespective of party affiliation, has a responsibility to uphold their dignity.”The conduct of senior leaders at a national occasion is observed not only by millions of Indians but also by the national and international media. Mangaluru/New York, July 25: Rai’s Super T and Rai’s Device, two golf-alignment aids developed by vascular surgeon, scientist, sportsman and inventor Dr Dinker B Rai, were formally launched at the Village Club of Lake Success in New York on Saturday.The launch brought together golfers, club members, professionals and members of the community for a presentation centred on improving accuracy and consistency in golf through a more objective approach to alignment. Alignment is one of the fundamental aspects of golf. Golfers generally identify their target and mentally visualise an imaginary line between the ball and the target before positioning their clubface, feet, shoulders and hips. Dr Rai’s inventions seek to make this otherwise imaginary alignment line visible and easier to reproduce.Rai’s Super T is designed as a directional golf tee for use on the course, while Rai’s Device is intended as a training and teaching aid at the driving range. Both use perpendicular directional and alignment limbs to help golfers establish the target line, square the clubface, align the body and develop a repeatable setup and swing path.A panel discussion formed a key part of the launch programme. Moderated by Rajiv Rudra of RR Golf Academy, the discussion featured Village Club Pro Robi Mistretta and Dr Rai, who spoke about the importance of alignment, the development of the inventions and their potential application for golfers, coaches and students.The programme also featured instructional and biographical videos demonstrating the use of the products. Professional golfers and experts, including Amandeep Jhol, former CEO of the Professional Golf Tour of India, Adam Laird of North Shore Country Club and Asian Games golf gold medallist Rishi Narain, shared their perspectives on the innovations.Guests had an opportunity to examine the products and interact with Dr Rai and the event team during the launch.The event was sponsored by Peter Kumar, president of Gullwing Motor Cars, Astoria, with support from the Village Club of Lake Success and its board. ಅಬುಧಾಬಿ: ಅಬುಧಾಬಿಯ ಖ್ಯಾತ ಉದ್ಯಮಿ, ವಿಶ್ವದ ಅತೀ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಅನಿವಾಸಿ ಭಾರತೀಯರ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಸೋಶಿಯಲ್ ಆ್ಯಂಡ್ ಕಲ್ಬರಲ್ ಸೆಂಟರ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿರುವ ಪುತ್ತೂರು ಮೂಲದ ಮಿತ್ರಂಪಾಡಿ ಜಯರಾಮ ರೈಯವರಿಗೆ ವಿಶ್ವವಾಣಿ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ ಕೊಡಮಾಡುವ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಗ್ಲೋಬಲ್ ಅಚೀವರ್ಸ್ ಅವಾರ್ಡ್ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಲಭಿಸಿದೆ.ಒಮನ್ ರಾಜಧಾನಿ ಮಸ್ಕತ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲಿರುವ ಅದ್ದೂರಿ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸಾಧಕರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪ್ರದಾನ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ.ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಮಿತ್ರಂಪಾಡಿ ಮನೆತನದ ಜಯರಾಮ ರೈ ತನ್ನ ಸಂಘಟನಾ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ, ಜನಪ್ರತೀತಿ, ಮಾನವೀಯ ಕಳಕಳಿ, ಕಲಾಪ್ರೇಮ ಹಾಗೂ ಪರೋಪಕಾರ ಸ್ವಭಾವಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಸರಾದವರು.ಅಬುಧಾಬಿ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ ಏಕಸೂತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಸುವ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಸಂಘಟನೆ ಮೂಲಕ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ರೈಗಳು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪುರಸ್ಕೃತರು. ಪುತ್ತೂರು ತಾಲೂಕು ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದ ನಡಿಗೆ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಎಂಬ ಘೋಷ ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಗ್ರಾಮ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಸಂಭ್ರಮ’ದ ಮೂಲಕ ಹಳ್ಳಿಹಳ್ಳಿಗೂ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಕಂಪನ್ನು ಪಸರಿಸುವ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ದೇಶ ವಿದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಕಂಪು ಪಸರಿಸಿದವರು.ಕೊರೋನಾ ದುರಿತ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುತ್ತೂರು ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಸಾವಿರಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬಡಕುಟುಂಬಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಕ್ಕಿ ವಿತರಿಸಿದ್ದು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಪುತ್ತೂರು ಜಾತ್ರೆ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಾಕ್‌ಡೌನ್ ನಿಂದ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾದ, ಜಾಯಿಂಟ್ ವೀಲ್ ನಡೆಸುವ 60ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸದಸ್ಯರಿರುವ 9 ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಸುಮಾರು ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳ ಊಟೋಪಚಾರ ನೀಡಿದ ಆಶ್ರಯದಾತ. ಕರೋನಾ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟದಿಂದ ಗಲ್ಫ್ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಲುಕಿದ್ದ ಅನೇಕ ಭಾರತೀಯರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಮರಳಲು ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ನೆರವು ಒದಗಿಸಿದವರು.ವಿಶ್ವದಾಖಲೆ: ಕನ್ನಡ ನಾಡಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡುವ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆ ಪ್ರೇಮಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಜಯರಾಮ ರೈಯವರು ಸಂಗೀತಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹ ನೀಡುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಡಾ| ಹರ್ಷ ಕುಮಾರ್ ರೈ ಅವರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದ ಅಷ್ಟ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಗಾನ ವೈಭವ ಎಂಬ ಕನ್ನಡ ಉಕ್ತಿಗೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊರ ತರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸಿದವರು. ಈ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಭಕ್ತಿ ಗೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಎಂಟು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಇದು ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಬುಕ್ಸ್ ಆಫ್ ರೆಕಾರ್ಡ್‌ ನಲ್ಲೂ ಕೂಡ ವಿಶ್ವದಾಖಲೆ.ದೂರದ ಗಲ್ಫ್ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದರೂ ಸದಾ ಭಾರತ ದೇಶ, ಕನ್ನಡ ನಾಡು, ನುಡಿ, ನೆಲ, ಜಲದಶ್ರೇಯೋಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಸದಾ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನು ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು 27 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವರೈಯವರು ಈಗ ಬಿನ್ ಫರ್ದನ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಿಎಫ್‌ಒ. ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಅನೇಕ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಗಳ ಜೀರ್ಣೋದ್ಧಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೌರವಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ, ಜೀರ್ಣೋದ್ಧಾರ ಸಮಿತಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿ ಮಹತ್ತರ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. 2023 ರ ಗಡಿನಾಡ ಸದ್ಭಾವನ ಭೂಷಣ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ, ‘ಇಂಟರ್‌ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಐಕಾನ್ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ’, ‘ಟೋಸ್ಟ್ ಮಾಸ್ಟರ್’ ಅಂತರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯಾದ ಡಿಟಿಎಂ ಮತ್ತು ‘ಟ್ರಿಪಲ್ ಕ್ರೌನ್’ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಸಹಿತ ಹತ್ತು ಹಲವು ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳು ಇವರ ಸಾಧನೆಗೆ ಸಂದಿವೆ. ಇವರು ಕೃಷಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಕೆದಂಬಾಡಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ದಿ| ಚೆನ್ನಪ್ಪ ರೈ ಮಿತ್ರಂಪಾಡಿ ಹಾಗೂ ದಿವಂಗತ ಡಿಂಬ್ರಿ ಗುತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸರಸ್ವತಿ ಸಿ. ರೈ ಅವರ ಪುತ್ರ.

ಮಸ್ಕತ್: ಬಂಟ್ಸ್ ಓಮಾನ್ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಸಂಘದ (BOSS)ನೆರಳಲ್ಲಿ “ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಸಮ್ಮಿಲನ ” ಕೆಸರು ಗದ್ದೆ ಗೋಲ್ಡ್ ಫೀಲ್ಡ್ (KGF) – ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಕ್ರಿಡೋತ್ಸವವು ಕಳೆದ ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ಮಸ್ಕತ್ ನ “ಬರ್ಕ ಗುತ್ತಿ ” ನ ಅಗೋಳಿ ಮಂಜಣ್ಣ ಅಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಜರಗಿತು. ತುಳುನಾಡಿನ ಬಂಟರ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ,ನಂಬಿಕೆ,ಆಚರಣೆಗಳ, ನಡವಳಿಕೆಗಳ ನೆನಪಿನ ಮೆಲುಕು ಹಾಕಲು “ತುಳುನಾಡಿನ ಪ್ರತಿಕೃತಿ ” ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ ಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.ಮಸ್ಕತ್ ಹೊರವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ರುವ ಉದ್ಯಮಿ ಅಶ್ವಿನಿ ದರಂಸಿ ಭಾಯ್ ಅವರ ಫಾರ್ಮ್ ಹೌಸ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ದಿವಾಕರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಮಲ್ಲಾರ್ ಅವರ ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ “ಬರ್ಕ ಗುತ್ತು ಮನೆ ” , ಸಾವಿರ ಮಂದಿ ಕುಳಿತು ಕೊಳ್ಳ ಬಹುದಾದ “ಬಂಟರ ಭವನ” ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.ಗುತ್ತಿನ ಪಡಸಾಲೆ, ರಾಟೆ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿದ ಭಾವಿ, ಸಿರಿ ತುಪ್ಪೆ -ಭತ್ತದ ಕಣಜ, ಪಡಿ ಮಂಚ, ಭತ್ತ ಕುಟ್ಟುವ “ಬಾರ ಕಲ” ದಲ್ಲಿರಿಸಿದ ಒನಕೆಗಳು, ಮಡಲು ತಟ್ಟಿಯ ಹಳ್ಳಿ ಯ ಬಚ್ಚಲು ಮನೆ,ಉತ್ತು ಹದಗೊಳಿಸಿದ ಸುಮಾರು 60 ಮೀಟರ್ ಉದ್ದ ದ ಕೆಸರು ನೀರು ತುಂಬಿದ ವಿಶಾಲವಾದ ಕಂಬಳ ಗದ್ದೆ, ಸೆಗಣಿ ಸಾರಿಸಿದ ವಿಸ್ತರವಾದ ಅಂಗಳ, ತೆಂಗಿನ ಸೋಗೆ ಹೆಣೆದು ಮಾಡಿದ ವಿಶಾಲವಾದ ಚಪ್ಪರ(ಶಾಮಿಯಾನ ದ ಬಳಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ ), ಏಕ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ 200 ಮಂದಿ ಕುಳಿತು ಊಟ ಮಾಡುವ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯ ಭೋಜನ ಶಾಲೆ, ಖರ್ಜೂರದ ಮರಕ್ಕೆ ಎಳನೀರು ಗೊಂಚಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಸಿಕಟ್ಟಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿದ ಶೇಂದಿ ಮೂರ್ತೆಯ ಮಡಿಕೆ, ಸಂತೆಯ ಗದ್ದೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲೆ ಮಡಲು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ ಗೂಡಂಗಡಿಗಳು…. ಸಮ್ಮಿಲನ ಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅಣಿಗೊಳಿಸ ಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಕೊಡೆತ್ತೂರಿನಿಂದ ತರಿಸಿದ್ದ ಭತ್ತ ದ ತೆನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗುತ್ತಿನ ಯಜಮಾನ ಶಶಿಧರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಮಲ್ಲಾರ್ ಅವರು ತೊಳಸಿ ಕಟ್ಟೆ ಯ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಪರಿವಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಗುತ್ತಿನ ಚಾವಡಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದರು. ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗಿಸಿ,ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊರಲ್ ಪರ್ಬ (ಕದಿರು ಹಬ್ಬ) ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.ಬೆಳಗ್ಗಿನ ಉಪಹಾರ ಕ್ಕೆ ತುಳುನಾಡಿನ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಪದೆಂಗಿ , ಸಜ್ಜಿಗೆ ಬಜಿಲ್, ಮೂಡೆ ಚಟ್ನಿ, ಶೀರ… ಮತ್ತು ಗೂಡoಗಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಂತರ ವಾಗಿ ಎಳನೀರು, ಬಚ್ಚಗಾoಯಿ, ಕಬ್ಬಿನ ರಸ, ಮಜ್ಜಿಗೆ, ಪಾನಕ, ಚರುoಬುರಿ, ಬಾಳೆ ಹಣ್ಣು,ಐಸ್ ಕ್ಯಾಂಡಿ,ಸಬಿ ತಿಂಡಿ ಗಳ ವಿತರಣೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.ಸಂಜೆ ಮೊಟ್ಟೆ ಆಮ್ಲೆಟ್, ಪೋಡಿ, ಗೋಳಿಬಜೆ ಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಇತ್ತು.ಬಂಟ ಪರಿವಾರದವರೇ ಸಿದ್ದ ಪಡಿಸಿದ ಶುಚಿ ರುಚಿಯಾದ ತುಳುನಾಡಿನ ಕೋಳಿ ತಮ್ಮನ ದ ಊಟವನ್ನು ತುದಿ ಬಾಳೆಎಲೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಡಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.ಮಸ್ಕತ್ ನ ಬರ್ಕಗುತ್ತು ಕಂಬಳ:ಶಿಬಿರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋಣ ಗಳನ್ನು ಸಜ್ಜು ಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಬು, ಡೋಲು ವಾದ್ಯ, ಕೀಲು ಕುದುರೆ, ಗೊಂಬೆ ಕುಣಿತ ದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬರ್ಕ ಗುತ್ತಿನ ಅಂಗಳಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ಸಾಹ ದಿಂದ ಆಗಮಿಸುವ ನೊಗ ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ಓಟದ ಕೋಣಗಳ ಅಬ್ಬರ,ಯಜಮಾನ ಪರಿವಾರ ವನ್ನು ಬರ್ಕ ಗುತ್ತಿನ ಏಳು ಪ್ರಮುಖರು ಜೋಡು ಬೊಂಡ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಸ್ವಾಗತ ನೀಡಿ ಬರಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವ,ಕೋಣಗಳು ಸಾಲಾಗಿ ಗದ್ದೆಗೆ ಇಳಿಯುವ, ಗಂತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪುoಡಾಟ ಮಾಡುವ, ಕೋಣಗಳನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸುವ ದೃಶ್ಯ ಗಳು ರಂಜನೀಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು.ಕೋಣಗಳ ಪ್ರತಿಕೃತಿಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿ, ಅದರೊಳಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ನಿಜ ಕೋಣಗಳ ಹಾವಭಾವ ಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಕಂಬಳದ ಉಡುಗೆ ಉಟ್ಟು, ಮುಂಡಾಸು ಕಟ್ಟಿ, ಬೆತ್ತ ಹಿಡಿದು ಅಣಕು ಕಂಬಳ ದೃಶ್ಯ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಿಸುವ ಬಳಗದ ಸದಸ್ಯರ ಉತ್ಸಾಹವು ಮಸ್ಕತ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ತುಳುನಾಡಿನ ಕಂಬಳದ ಮರು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ ಮಾಡುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಯಿತು.

ದುಬೈ : ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಗಡಿನಾಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ (ರಿ) ಯು.ಎ.ಇ ಘಟಕ ಮತ್ತು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಗಡಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರಕಾರದ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸಂಭ್ರಮ 50ರ ಸವಿನೆನಪಿನ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಅ. 13 ರಂದು ‘ದುಬೈ ಗಡಿನಾಡ ಉತ್ಸವ’ ವು ದುಬೈ ಜೆಮ್ ಪ್ರೈವೇಟ್ ಸ್ಕೂಲ್ (Oud Metha) ದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ.
