ಮಂಗಳೂರು: ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ರೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ತಪಸ್ಯ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಮತ್ತು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಡಳಿತ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಟ್ರಯಥ್ಲಾನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಆಲ್ ಕಾರ್ಗೋ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಇದರ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಬೀಚ್ ಫೆಸ್ಟಿವಲ್‌ಗೆ ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ತಣ್ಣೀರುಬಾವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.ಶರವು ಶ್ರೀ ಮಹಾಗಣಪತಿ ದೇವಳದ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜಿಂಗ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿ ಶರವು ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿ ಅವರು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ನೊಂದವರಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ದೇವರು ಮೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಾರೆ. ತಪಸ್ಯ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಬಿತಾ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರು ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಪೀಡಿತರಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುವ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗುಣವನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಲು ಬೀಚ್ ಫೆಸ್ಟಿವಲ್ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದರ್ಶ ಮಹಿಳೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಅವರ ಸಮಾಜಮುಖಿ ಕೆಲಸಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೆನ್ನೆಲುಬಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲೋಣ ಎಂದರು.ಜಮಾಅತೆ ಇಸ್ಲಾಮಿ ಹಿಂದ್‌ನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಕುಂಞಿ ಎಂ.ಎಚ್., ಸೈಂಟ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ರೆ.ಫಾ.ವಿಲ್ಪ್ರೆಡ್ ಡಿಸೋಜ, ಯುವಜನ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಉಪನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಪ್ರದೀಪ್ ಡಿಸೋಜ, ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಬಂಗಾಳದ ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಡಿಜಿಪಿ ಡಾ.ಬಿ.ಎನ್. ರಮೇಶ್ ಐಪಿಎಸ್, ಆಲ್‌ಕಾರ್ಗೋ ಲಾಜಿಸ್ಟಿಕ್ಸ್‌ನ ಸಿಇಒ ಸುರೇಶ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಬೀಚ್ ಉತ್ಸವಕ್ಕೆ ಶುಭ ಹಾರೈಸಿದರು. ತಪಸ್ಯ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕಿ ಸಬಿತಾ ಆರ್. ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ನವೀನ್ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆ, ರಿತೇಶ್, ಅರವಿಂದ್, ಕರುಣಾಕರ್, ರಮಾನಾಥ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಮೊದಲಾದವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಬೀಚ್ ಕುಸ್ತಿ, ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಕಲಾ ವಸ್ತು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ, ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಐಟಿ ಕ್ವಿಜ್, ಬೀಚ್ ಮ್ಯಾರಥಾನ್, ಡುಯಾಥ್ಲಾನ್, 40ಕೆ ಡೀಮ್ ಡಿಸ್ಟನ್ಸ್ ಟ್ರಯಾಥ್ಲಾನ್, ಸ್ಟಂಟ್ ಟ್ರಯಾಥ್ಲಾನ್, ಟೀಮ್ ರಿಲೇ ಟ್ರಯಾಥಾನ್, 1000 ಮೀಟರ್ ಡೀಮ್ ಸ್ವಿಮ್, 500 ಮೀ. ಫನ್ ಸ್ವಿಮ್, ಅಕ್ವಾಥಾನ್, ಫುಲ್ ಮ್ಯಾರಥಾನ್, ಹಾಫ್ ಮ್ಯಾರಥಾನ್, 10 ಕೆ ಡೀಮ್ ರನ್, 5ಕೆ ಫನ್ ರನ್ ಹೀಗೆ ವಿವಿಧ ರೀತಿಯ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳು ಕಡಲ ಕಿನಾರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜ.11ರ ತನಕ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ದೇಶ- ವಿದೇಶದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಗಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಬೈಕ್ ಸ್ಟಂಟ್ ಶೋ, ಬ್ಯಾಟಲ್ ಆಫ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಡ್ಸ್, ಫ್ಯಾಶನ್ ಶೋ, ಥ್ರೋ ಬಾಲ್ ವಿಶೇಷ ಆಕರ್ಷಣೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

ಸುರತ್ಕಲ್: ಬಂಟರ ಸಂಘ (ರಿ) ಸುರತ್ಕಲ್ ಇದರ ಆಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಟರ ಯಾನೆ ನಾಡವರ ಮಾತೃ ಸಂಘ ಹಾಗೂ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಬಂಟರ ಸಂಘಗಳ ಒಕ್ಕೂಟದ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಂಟರ ಕ್ರೀಡೋತ್ಸವ ಸುರತ್ಕಲ್ ಗೋವಿಂದ ದಾಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಮೈದಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಜರುಗಿತು.ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಮೂಡಬಿದ್ರೆ ಆಳ್ವಾಸ್ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಡಾ ಎಂ ಮೋಹನ್ ಆಳ್ವ ಅವರು ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು.ಬಳಿಕ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪುರಸ್ಕೃತ, ಮುಂಬೈ ಬಂಟರ ಸಂಘದ ಮಾಜಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ , ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಧನೆಗೈದ ಡಾ ಪಿ.ವಿ.ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂಘದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಬಳಿಕ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು “ಸುರತ್ಕಲ್ ಬಂಟರ ಸಂಘ ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಿದ್ದಂತೆ. ಸಂಘದ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸುತ್ತ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಇದು ಇತರ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾದರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಕ್ರೀಡೆಯಷ್ಟೇ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವೂ ಮುಖ್ಯ. ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಕ್ರೀಡೆಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಮಹತ್ವ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ಸಾಲದು. ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಏನಾದರೂ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಅನಾನುಕೂಲಗಳಿದ್ದರೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ನಾನಿದ್ದೇನೆ“ ಎಂದರು. ಬಳಿಕ ಮಾತಾಡಿದ ಆಳ್ವಾಸ್ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಡಾ। ಎಂ ಮೋಹನ್ ಆಳ್ವ ಅವರು, “ಸುರತ್ಕಲ್ ಬಂಟರ ಸಂಘ ಅನೇಕ ಉತ್ತಮ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಇಂದು ಕ್ರೀಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಧನಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ ಪೂಜಾರಿಯವರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಇದು ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಖುಷಿಯ ವಿಚಾರ. ಧನಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ 11 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ನಮ್ಮ ಆಳ್ವಾಸ್ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಪಟು. ಇಂತಹ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಯುವ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕ್ರೀಡಾಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಲು ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಸಹಕಾರ ಅಗತ್ಯ“ ಎಂದರು.ಇನ್ನೋರ್ವ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿ ಬಂಟರ ಯಾನೆ ನಾಡವರ ಮಾತೃ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಕೆ ಅಜಿತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ರೈ ಮಾಲಾಡಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಸುರತ್ಕಲ್ ಬಂಟರ ಸಂಘ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡು ಕ್ರೀಯಾಶೀಲ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದಿದೆ. ಸಂಘದ ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟು, ಕಾರ್ಯ ಸಾಧನೆ ಇತರ ಸಂಘಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾದರಿ ಎಂದರು.ಸುರತ್ಕಲ್ ಬಂಟರ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಜಗನ್ನಾಥ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಬಾಳ ಮಾತಾಡಿ, “ಕ್ರೀಡಾಕೂಟ ತುಂಬಾ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ಇಂತಹ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಆಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಸಹಕಾರ ಬೇಕು” ಎಂದರು. ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಬಂಟರ ಸಂಘಗಳ ಒಕ್ಕೂಟದ ಸಂಚಾಲಕ ಬಾಲಕೃಷ್ಣ ರೈ ಕೊಲ್ಲಾಡಿ ಶುಭ ಹಾರೈಸಿದರು.ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿಬಂಟರ ಸಂಘ ಸುರತ್ಕಲ್ ಇದರ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ರೋಹಿತಾಕ್ಷ ರೈ ಕುಳಾಯಿಗುತ್ತು, ಮಾಜಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ದೇವಾನಂದ ಎಂ.ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಉಲ್ಲಾಸ್ ಆರ್. ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ಎಸ್. ಪೂಂಜಾ, ನಿಕಟಪೂರ್ವ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಲೋಕಯ್ಯ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಮುಂಚೂರು, ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ಪಿ.ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಪ್ರಧಾನ‌ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಲೀಲಾಧರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಕಟ್ಲ, ಕೋಶಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ರತ್ನಾಕರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಮಹಿಳಾ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಸರೋಜ ಟಿ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಪುಷ್ಪರಾಜ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಮಧ್ಯ, ಸಂಘಟನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಪುಷ್ಪರಾಜ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಕುಡುಂಬೂರು, ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ದೇವೇಂದ್ರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಜೊತೆ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಮೀರಾವಾಣಿ ಎಂ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಮಹಿಳಾ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಬಬಿತ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಮತ್ತಿತರರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕಬಡ್ಡಿ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಪಟು ಧನಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ ಪೂಜಾರಿ ಹೆತ್ತವರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.ಸಂಘದ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಲೀಲಾಧರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು.ಅನೂಪ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸಿದರು. ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಪುಷ್ಪರಾಜ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಮದ್ಯ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ನಿತೇಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಎಕ್ಕಾರ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.

ಸುರತ್ಕಲ್: ಯಕ್ಷಧ್ರುವ ಪಟ್ಲ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಸುರತ್ಕಲ್ ಘಟಕದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ಲೀಲಾಧರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಕಟ್ಲ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.ಸುರತ್ಕಲ್ ಬಂಟರ ಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಮಹಾಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೂತನ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ನಡೆಯಿತು.ಗೌರವಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ಸುಧಾಕರ ಎಸ್ ಪೂಂಜ, ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ಲೀಲಾಧರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಕಟ್ಲ, ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾಗಿ ನಾಗರಾಜ್ ಕಡಂಬೋಡಿ, ಸಹ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾಗಿ ಡಾ| ಸುಧಾ ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರುಗಳಾಗಿ ರಮೇಶ್ ಭಟ್ ಎಸ್.ಜಿ, ಸಹನಾ ರಾಜೇಶ್ ರೈ, ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಾಳ ಗಂಗಾಧರ ಪೂಜಾರಿ ಚೇಳ್ಯಾರು, ಕೋಶಾಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ರಾಕೇಶ್ ಹೊಸಬೆಟ್ಟು ಜೊತೆ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಗುಣಶೇಖರ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ , ಸತೀಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಬಾಳಿಕೆ, ಪಾರ್ವತಿ ಎಸ್ ಅಮೀನ್, ಉಮೇಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ , ಸವಿತಾ ಭವಾನಿಶಂಕರ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ , ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಬಾಳ, ನಿರ್ಮಲಾ ಅರಿಗ, ಸಂಘಟನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾಗಿ ದೇವೇಂದ್ರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ,ರಮೇಶ್ ಟಿ.ಎನ್, ಪುಷ್ಪರಾಜ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಕುಡುಂಬೂರು, ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ಪಿ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ರಮೇಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಸುಭಾಷಿತನಗರ , ಸುಜೀರ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ನಾರಾಯಣ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಕಟ್ಲ, ಅನಂತ್‌ರಾಜ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿಗಾರ್ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದರು.

ಮಂಗಳೂರು: ಅಸ್ತ್ರ ಪ್ರೊಡಕ್ಷನ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಲಂಚುಲಾಲ್ ಕೆ.ಎಸ್. ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದ ಬಹುನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ಕ್ರೈಂ ಥ್ರಿಲ್ಲರ್ ತುಳು ಸಿನಿಮಾ ‘ಕಟ್ಟೆಮಾರ್’ ಇದೇ ಜನವರಿ 23ರಂದು ತೆರೆಗೆ ಬರಲಿದ್ದು, ಅದರ ಟ್ರೇಲರ್ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಸಮಾರಂಭ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಬಿಗ್ ಸಿನಿಮಾಸ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಗಣ್ಯರ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅದ್ಧೂರಿಯಾಗಿ ನೆರವೇರಿತು.ಟ್ರೇಲರ್ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಲಂಚುಲಾಲ್ ಕೆ.ಎಸ್., “ಜನವರಿ 23ರಂದು ಕಟ್ಟೆಮಾರ್ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಬೇರೆ ಭಾಷೆಗಳ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ತುಳು ಚಿತ್ರವೂ ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗಬಾರದು ಎಂಬ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಈ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಭರ್ಜರಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ತುಳು ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ಕಟ್ಟೆಮಾರ್ ನಮ್ಮ ವಿಶೇಷ ಕೊಡುಗೆ. ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಈ ಹೊಸ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡಬೇಕು. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬೆಂಬಲ ದೊರೆತರೆ ತುಳು ಸಿನಿ ಇಂಡಸ್ಟ್ರಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹಲವು ಹೊಸ ಸಾಹಸಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ನಟ ರೂಪೇಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, “ಈ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ರಿವ್ಯೂ ಕೊಡುವ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಟ್ರೇಲರ್ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನದ ವೇಳೆ ಕೇಳಿಬಂದ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರ ಚಪ್ಪಾಳೆ, ಶಿಳ್ಳೆಗಳೇ ಇದರ ಮಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿವೆ” ಎಂದರು.ಮುಖ್ಯಪಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಟಿಸಿರುವ ಜೆಪಿ ತುಮಿನಾಡ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, “ಹೊಸತನದ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಡಿದ ಚಿತ್ರವೇ ಕಟ್ಟೆಮಾರ್. ಲಂಚುಲಾಲ್ ಅವರು ಸದಾ ಹೊಸ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಹೊಸ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆಗೆ ತರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ತುಳು ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ಆಗಬಹುದು ಎಂಬ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ನನಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಚಿತ್ರ ಗೆದ್ದರೆ ಇಂಥಾ ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಮಂದಿ ಮುಂದೆ ಬರಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ” ಎಂದರು.ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಸಚಿನ್ ಕಾಟ್ಲ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, “ಈ ತರಹದ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಮಾಡಲು ಧೈರ್ಯ ಬೇಕು. ಆ ಧೈರ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಲಂಚುಲಾಲ್ ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸತನವಿದೆ. ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ನಟಿ ಹರ್ಷಿತಾ ಕುಲಾಲ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಇದು ತಮ್ಮ ಮೊದಲ ಅನುಭವವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರ ಸಹಕಾರವನ್ನು ಕೋರಿದರು.ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕಾಂಕ್ಷ ರಾವ್, ಪಲ್ಲವಿ ದೇವಾಡಿಗ, ರಕ್ಷಿತ್ ಗಾಣಿಗ, ಮಾಸುಮಾ ಕೊಡಗು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಖ್ಯಾತ ನಿರೂಪಕ ಆಂಕರ್ ಚೇತನ್ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.ಚಿತ್ರದ ಕುರಿತು‘ಕಟ್ಟೆಮಾರ್’ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ರಕ್ಷಿತ್ ಗಾಣಿಗ ಮತ್ತು ಸಚಿನ್ ಕಾಟ್ಲ ಕಥೆ, ಚಿತ್ರಕಥೆ, ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಸ್ತ್ರ ಪ್ರೊಡಕ್ಷನ್ ಮೂಲಕ ಲಂಚುಲಾಲ್ ಕೆ.ಎಸ್. ಬಂಡವಾಳ ಹೂಡಿದ್ದು, ಅವರು ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾತ್ರವೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕಾಂತಾರ ಖ್ಯಾತಿಯ ಸ್ವರಾಜ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಹಾಗೂ ‘ಸು ಫ್ರಂ ಸೋ’ ಖ್ಯಾತಿಯ ಜೆಪಿ ತುಮಿನಾಡ್ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮೈಮ್ ರಾಮದಾಸ್, ಮಾಸುಮ ಕೊಡಗು, ಭಗವಾನ್ ಸುರತ್ಕಲ್, ನಮಿತಾ ಕಿರಣ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವರು ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕಾರ್ತಿಕ್ ಮೂಲ್ಕಿ ಸಂಗೀತ, ಗಣೇಶ್ ನೀರ್ಚಾಲು ಸಂಕಲನ, ಸಂತೋಷ್ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಗುಂಪಲಾಜೆ ಅವರ ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಹಣ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕಿದೆ. ಟೀಸರ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಭರವಸೆ ಮೂಡಿಸಿರುವ ಈ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಜನವರಿ 23ರಂದು ತೆರೆಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಳಿಸಲಿದೆ.

From the year 2022, Konkani Lekhak Sangh decided to select and honour a Konkani writer who has immensely contributed to Konkani literature.For the year 2026, Konkani Lekhak Sangh award committee has selected a well known Konkani writer Mr. Patrick Camille Moras (M. Patrik).The award consists of a cash prize of Rs 25000/-, a citation and a Memento. Born on November 17, 1945, Patrick Camille Moras, known as M. Patrik, rose from a childhood of hardship to become a pillar of Konkani literature. After discontinuing school in fifth grade to support his family, he found a mentor in J.B. Rasquinha, who provided him with books and encouraged him to sell literature books door-to-door.Starting as a book seller and Associate Editor of Kannik Konkani Magazine at eighteen, he became a prolific author of over 800 short stories, 400 articles, and ten novels. Through his Nityadar Prakashan, he published numerous works, including plays and detective dramas, cementing his legacy as a dedicated servant of the Konkani language. In recognition of his immense contribution to literature, he has been honored with the Honorary Award from the Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy and the ‘Sandesha Konkani Literature Award – 2026’ conferred upon M. MANGALORE — In a powerful display of teamwork and social integration, the St. Aloysius Higher Primary School Alumni Association, under the aegis of the St. Aloysius College Alumni Association (SACAA), successfully organized ‘Aloy Quiz-Whiz 2026’ on Sunday, January 18. The event, held at the school’s Kodialbail campus, reimagined the traditional quiz format to bridge the gap between students of diverse backgrounds and abilities. The program commenced at 9:00 a.m. with an audience of approximately 200 people, including students, teachers, and parents. Unlike standard academic competitions, the Aloy Quiz-Whiz utilized an innovative team structure designed to foster empathy and cooperation. Each competing team was a microcosm of society, composed of one visually impaired participant, one student with speech and hearing impairment, one student from a government school, and two students from private schools. This unique structure emphasized that while all quizzes test general knowledge, this specific initiative focused on overcoming natural barriers through cohesive teamwork.The primary objectives of the quiz were to educate the public on the high capabilities of specially-abled children and to sensitize young students to social diversity. Mrs. Josita Sequeira, Headmistress of the school, delivered the welcome note, followed by an inaugural address by Fr. Melwin Pinto SJ, Rector of St. Aloysius Group of Institutions. Fr. Pinto highlighted the significance of inclusivity, praising the event for its role in social awareness and holistic education. He remarked that he was deeply touched to see the institution hosting an event that brings together schools from across the city.A total of 15 schools participated, including institutions like Presidency School, Lourdes Central School, and the Roman & Catherine Lobo School. The competition was closely contested, with the top honors eventually going to a combined team of students from the Roman & Catherine Lobo School, S.D.M. Mangalajyothi Integrated School, St. Aloysius Gonzaga School, and D.K.Z.P.H.P School, Kapikad. The winning participants included Arya, U. Ameena Nidha, Avika Joshi, Vishnu Dev Panday, and Dilip L.D. The second-place trophy was awarded to a team comprising Shree Manma, Shivaram Nayak, Anmol Cherish Saldanha, Chris Shawn D’Souza, and Sneha.The impact of the event was echoed by various attendees. Mr. Calistus D’Sa, Principal of the Roman and Catherine School for the visually impaired, noted that this unique format allowed his students to feel truly special and capable of competing on a level playing field. Alumnus Deepak Ramani observed that watching children of all abilities work together served as a reminder of the importance of patience and mutual respect.The event was smoothly conducted by emcee Ms. Neerada from the Masters of Social Work department at St. Aloysius University. The proceedings concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. Neil Rodrigues, Secretary of the Alumni Association, who noted that the enthusiasm of the children serves as a yearly inspiration for the organizers. Bikarnakatte, Jan 14, 2026: The Infant Jesus Shrine, Bikarnakatte, celebrated its Annual Feast on January 14 with great devotion and religious fervour, drawing thousands of devotees from the early hours of the morning. A total of five Eucharistic celebrations were held during the day to enable the large number of faithful to participate in the Feast. The solemn morning Feast Mass was celebrated by Rt. Rev. Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop Emeritus of Mangaluru.The solemn evening Feast Mass was presided over by Rt. Rev. Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi. In his homily, he invited the faithful to walk in the spiritual path shown by St John of the Cross, the great Carmelite mystic from Spain, whose twin jubilees—the 300th anniversary of his canonisation and the 100th anniversary of his proclamation as Doctor of the Church—are being commemorated this year.
